About Artgrid Studios
At Artgrid Studios each lesson is tailored to improve students’ technical skill in drawing, painting, and 3-D to 2-D representation to foster a freedom of expression. Through the study of various art movements in art history, including Cubism, Impressionism, Expressionism, and Surrealism, students will learn from old masters and modern artists to form their own unique artistic style. Students will explore mediums such as acrylic, watercolour, charcoal, and pastels.
Draw & Paint Preschool
Age range: 3–6
Subjects and skills: drawing, painting, color theory, various art materials
Goal: to establish a solid art foundation for preschoolers
Art Fundamentals
Age range: 7–18
Subjects and skills: drawing, painting, 3-D to 2-D representation, art history, acrylic, watercolor, charcoal, and pastels; intermediate students explore landscapes, portraiture, and still life
Goal: to aid students in forming their own unique artistic style
Animation for Teens
Age range: 13–18
Subjects and skills: Students with a strong interest in character creation will learn fundamentals in drawing, the basic proportions of the human body, colour theory, and how to render 3D objects in a space.
Goal: students will start animating and complete a 45-60 second long animation.
