Gym O Gym offers developmental classes that foster the sort of creativity, confidence, and problem-solving skills that are so crucial for youngsters. The staff—which includes certified kinesiologists, personal trainers, yoga instructors, and early child educators—embrace positive reinforcement and create a supportive, non-competitive environment while helping infants, toddlers, and young children grow physically as well as emotionally.

During the first few sessions, the youngest students can learn to hone their visual and auditory senses before moving on to develop their motor skills, coordination, and body awareness as they clamber up ramps and other age-appropriate fitness equipment. Cognitive function is equally important though, and the instructors start introducing basic math and pattern-recognition exercises for the older kids. Additionally, these later sessions place an emphasis on the importance of communication and personal interaction, which can help youngsters develop the social skills they need to make friends at school or rationally debate the pros of receiving two desserts after dinner.
