The instructors at MMA World Academy adopt a personalized philosophy when it comes to teaching their many classes, which range from competitive combat techniques such as jiu-jitsu and muay thai to the lighter side of fitness with classes such as Zumba. They outfit their space with a full-size boxing ring, an octagon, and wrestling mats. An expansive strength-training area houses free weights, bench presses, and other heavy objects just dying to be pressed and pulled. Adjacent to their workout facility, they run a pro shop full of T-shirts and fighting gear such as shin guards, boxing gloves, and focus pads. The rich hardwood floors of the shop also host a lounge area with sleek black leather couches and chairs and a refrigerator full of water, energy drinks, gatorade, or coconut water.
