Boxes are filled with certified-organic produce in anywhere from 10 to 15 varieties of vegetables, fruits, or a combination, with each box totalling up to 20 pounds and built from reinforced cardboard to thwart break-in attempts by body-building rabbits. Organics Delivered 2 You updates its current grocery list each Sunday, with past selections including apples, bok choy, onions, kiwi, potatoes, and pears. Produce shippers receive their bounty from regulated organic farm suppliers on the day of delivery and convey packages directly to customers’ homes. In order to receive their boxes in time for cooking, dinner parties, and vegetable-sculpting contests, customers must order a week in advance and allow a two-hour window for delivery.
