A Portrait 101: Natural Light class teaches camera-clutchers to harness the natural light from setting suns and space-shuttle launches to achieve subject-flattering results. Students also tighten their grasp on mastering various camera settings, choosing the right lens, and knowing when to use the flash. Those who opt for the Portrait 101: Composition class learn the effective use of angles, perspectives, and lenses. Students need only tote a pad and pen to class for taking notes and doodling bunny ears. After each session, shutterbugs receive an access code to download class notes from the website, enabling them to review the topics, tools, techniques discovered in class.
