Practitioners of Ayurveda trace its roots back more than 5,000 years, when sages in India began to believe that balance was the key to a healthy body. Andrea Olivera opened her self-named Ayurveda rituals centre with exactly these principles in mind. During her 20-year career, she has been both a spa professional and an educator, helming her centre’s training branch and teaching at colleges and private schools. When not training other aestheticians and massage therapists through the Ayurvedic Spa Specialist Program, she and her staff help clients find holistic harmony through Ayurvedic facials, massages, steam-based shirodhara cleansings, and acupuncture.
