When Chef Andrea Legacey and her husband were conceptualizing their restaurant, they wanted something that was upscale, yet casual; something inspired by French bistros, yet bursting with local pride. So, they came up with Juniper Dining Co., where people can dig into the likes of steak tartare while sipping Dillon’s rose-infused gin. Read on to learn more about how to enjoy Juniper’s unique vibe most any time of day.
“Brunch”: Though Juniper doesn’t officially serve brunch, it opens at 11 a.m. every day and designates a portion of its lunch menu to dishes such as slow-poached egg on toast, bagels with house-made lox, and croque madames with cheese, prosciutto, or lox.
Lunch: For those really feeling the French vibes, there’s a charcuterie or cheese plate that perfectly pairs with one of Juniper’s hand-selected bottles of wine. There are salads, too—think smoked trout with brussels sprouts, and baby kale with lamb bacon.
Dinner: This is where things get really interesting, as Legacey uses the dinner service to showcase her ability to work with a range of meats. Braised octopus, for instance, is paired with wild-boar sausage, and locally raised lamb loin is dressed with lamb sweetbreads.
