Urban Nirvana’s trained holistic practitioners relax bodies during Thai massages for both individuals and couples using techniques that are believed to date back more than 2,000 years. After filling out an intake form, clients remove their clothes and rocket boots before changing into a provided loose fitting cotton outfit and then relax on floor mats as mellifluous music and soothing sounds from a waterfall float toward ears. Without the use of oils, massage therapists wash feet with a warm cloth, and then dance their palms, forearms, elbows, knees, and feet across bodies in a rhythmic sequence that lulls stressed muscles into a peaceful, meditative state similar to a lingering hug with a cloud. Finally, skilled hands gently stretch limbs, manipulate muscles, and administer acupressure. Bodies can emerge with lower mental stress, increased range of motion, less tension, and reduced pain. After their massage, clients are free to take 15 to 20 minutes to return to a wakeful state, sip soothing tea, or whittle nesting dolls. Additional massage time and Thai Heat Therapy utilizing herbal compresses from Thailand can be added for an additional fee.
